Our Commitment
We're committed to providing exceptional dental care and patient service. If you experience any concerns, we want the opportunity to put things right. This procedure explains how we handle complaints.
Making a Complaint
You can make a complaint verbally or in writing. We encourage you to raise concerns as soon as possible so we can address them promptly.
Verbal Complaints: Speak to a member of staff during your visit or call us directly at 01214 680 032.
Written Complaints: Email hello@artedental.co.uk or write to us at the address below.
What to Include
Please provide the following information to help us investigate your complaint:
- Your full name and contact details
- Date of treatment or incident
- Description of your concern
- Any supporting documentation or photographs
- What outcome you're seeking
Our Process
Acknowledgement (within 3 working days): We will acknowledge your complaint and confirm our investigation timeline.
Investigation (within 30 days): We will investigate your complaint thoroughly, including review of your treatment records and clinical assessment where appropriate.
Response: We will provide a written response outlining our findings, any actions we've taken, and how we'll prevent similar issues in the future.
Resolution: We will discuss how to resolve your concern, which may include remedial treatment or appropriate compensation.
Escalation
If you're not satisfied with our response, you may:
- Request a review from our practice manager
- Contact the General Dental Council (GDC) at www.gdc-uk.org
- Refer your complaint to the Health Service Ombudsman for NHS-related concerns
Patient Rights
You have the right to:
- Have your complaint taken seriously and investigated fairly
- Receive a timely response
- Access your dental records
- Request a second opinion
- Seek independent advice or representation
